Clinician Referral Guide
Who I see, who I don’t, and how to send them my way.
I'm Benjamin Bunte, LPCC, MA-CMHC, a Clinical Psychotherapist in Englewood (Inverness) with openings now, in person and by telehealth anywhere in Colorado. Who I See
Teens aged 12 to 19 and young adults with ADHD, autism, or both
Diagnosed or newly identified, including those who mask well and are quietly exhausted.
Young adults stalled at launch
College, first jobs, executive function, and the anxiety that rode along with all three.
High achievers who look fine on paper
Burnout, perfectionism, school overload, family pressure, and identity questions.
Especially when one or both partners are neurodivergent and the same argument keeps repeating.
They have a report and a page of recommendations. They need someone to work through them.
Who I don’t See
Children under 12. Substance use or an eating disorder as the primary concern. Anyone who needs more than weekly outpatient care right now. Court-ordered, custody, or forensic work.
If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so at the consult and point the client toward someone who is.
How I Work
First sessions are about what makes this client's situation their own, not about fitting them into a protocol. From there, we build momentum one concrete step at a time.
When you refer someone, I close the loop. You'll hear from me within a week, whether the family is scheduled or not, so you're never left wondering what happened to a referral.
I coordinate care willingly. With a signed release, I keep prescribers, evaluators, and school teams in the loop. After ten years on staff in public schools, 504 and IEP conversations are familiar ground.
The office is built for sensory comfort: no bright overhead lights, colors the client controls, and fidgets everywhere. Telehealth is available statewide.

$185 per session. Sliding scale available.
Insurance
Out of network. Mentaya handles reimbursement claims for clients.
