Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
-
Start with a free 20-minute consultation — no pressure, just a conversation to see if we're a good fit. You can request an appointment at buntehealth.clientsecure.me. From there, we'll schedule your first full session, and I'll walk you through every step.
-
Your first full session is an intake assessment (about 90 minutes). We'll talk through what brought you in, a bit of your history, and what you're hoping for. There's no script and nothing to prepare; you just show up, and we start figuring things out together.
-
Not at all. Most people arrive unsure of exactly what they need, and that's completely normal. You don't need the right words or a clear goal, just a willingness to show up. We'll find the direction together.
-
You're in good company — many of my clients are first-timers. There's nothing "wrong" with you, and I’m not here to try to "fix" you. Therapy is simply a space to understand how your mind works so you can make the changes you want.
Sessions & Approach
-
Collaborative, direct, humorous, and nonjudgmental. I'll listen, laugh (sometimes cry) with you, and help you understand how your mind works so the changes you make are truly yours. No nod-and-clipboard formality, just real conversation and real change.
-
Yes. I offer both in-person sessions at my Englewood (Inverness) office and secure online therapy for clients anywhere in Colorado. Many clients mix the two depending on their schedule.
-
Most clients start with weekly sessions, then adjust as things progress. How long therapy takes depends on your goals — some people come for a focused stretch, others stay longer. We'll check in regularly so the pace always fits you.
-
No — as a Clinical Psychotherapist, I do not prescribe medication. If medication might be helpful, I can coordinate with your physician or a psychiatric provider so your care stays connected and consistent. Working collaboratively with other providers is a normal and helpful part of my job.
-
Yes. Therapy is confidential and protected by federal law, with a few narrow exceptions required for safety. I'll explain exactly how confidentiality works, including how it applies to minors (if applicable) during our first session.

Who I work With
-
I provide therapy for teenagers (ages 12+), adults, and couples in Englewood and across Colorado. I work especially well with neurodivergent clients and people navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, trauma, and relationship struggles.
-
Yes. I offer teen therapy for ages 12 and up with an affirming, nonjudgmental approach that helps teens find their voice. I balance a teen's need for privacy with appropriate parent involvement, and we'll talk through exactly how that works at the start.
-
Absolutely — it's a core part of my practice. I offer neurodivergent-affirming therapy for ADD/ADHD and autistic clients, grounded in the belief that there's nothing to "fix." I work with how your brain actually operates, not against it.
-
Yes. I work with couples who feel stuck in the same arguments or are slowly drifting apart, helping you genuinely hear each other again and rebuild connection and communication.
Insurance, Fees & Payment
-
The initial 20-minute consultation is free. The intake assessment (90 minutes) is $195. Individual and couples sessions are $175 for 60 minutes or $85 for 30 minutes. I accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as HSA/FSA cards.
-
I'm a private-pay practice and currently not in-network with any insurance carriers, including Medicaid and Medicare. That said, many clients use their out-of-network benefits to get reimbursed for a portion of each session.
-
If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you pay for sessions upfront and your insurer reimburses part of the cost — often 50–80% after you meet your out-of-network deductible. I provide superbills and have partnered with Mentaya, who can handle the claims and paperwork for you.
-
Yes — a limited number of sliding-scale spots are available based on financial need. If cost is a barrier, please mention it during your free consultation, and we'll see what's possible. I don't want money to stand between you and the support you need.
-
Under the “No Surprises Act”, you have the right to a written estimate of your expected costs before starting care. I provide one automatically when you schedule, and you're always welcome to ask for it.
